How we check the figures
Suisse Infos is a free, independent website. Our calculators and guides give indicative information: they do not replace advice from a tax adviser, a lawyer or the authorities. Here is how we work to keep them accurate.
1. Official, dated sources
- Each figure comes from an official source wherever one exists: the Confederation (FSO, FTA, FSIO, SEM), the canton of Geneva (ge.ch, Statistique Genève), the Code of Obligations, French authorities.
- Sources are listed at the bottom of each guide, with the year of the data. When data comes from a secondary source (press, association), we say so.
- We do not republish paid or proprietary figures from other websites.
2. Calculators tested automatically
With every change, real scenarios are replayed automatically in 3 browsers (iPhone, Android, desktop): entering a salary, a premium, a date, then comparing the result with the expected value. A failed test is fixed before the next update.
3. Cross-checking reviews
New pages are reviewed by artificial intelligence agents playing different profiles: newcomer, cross-border commuter, search expert and fact-checker. Errors found are logged, fixed, then turned into tests so they don't come back.
4. Limits, stated clearly
When a result depends on your situation (pension fund, accident insurance, municipality, contract), the calculator says so and tells you where to find the exact figure. Amounts are rounded and scales are updated every year.
5. Report an error
Does a figure look wrong or out of date? Write to us with the page and the source you believe is correct: every report is checked.
